Madame Alexander Modern Storyland Collection - "Where the Wild Things Are"
This wonderful set, is based on Maurice Sendak's imaginatively written and illustrated children's book "Where the Wild Things Are." It includes an 8" brunette, brown-eyed Max and approximately 11" plush 'fierce, cuddly wild thing. Max is wearing a white, velour hooded unitard, with little ears, white felt 'claws, buttons and a long, brown faux fur tail and a gold crown with fur rim. After getting in trouble and being restricted to his room, the imaginative Max, has pictured himself sailing to an island populated by wild monsters. He conquers the monsters (representing children's fears and frustrations) and makes himself King of the Wild Things. His companion is wearing a striped velour shirt; has expressive features and a furry mane and tail. Store stock - never removed from box. (NRFB)
