Madame Alexander Storyland Dolls - "Emperor and The Nightingale"
This unique set, created by the Alexander Doll Company, was created in 2002. It was inspired by the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story by the same name and includes an 8" doll, wooden pedestal, wooden bird cage and miniature Nightingale, The Chinese Emperor, as befitting his station, is dressed in rich brocade robes, embroidered with gold and silver threads and embellished with elaborate gold trim. His traditional black black slippers are gold trimmed and bejeweled; his black and gold hat has a red royal tassel and his long white hair is worn in a single braid hanging down his back. He has a wonderful, one time, unique face screening. Very collectible. Old store stock - Never removed from box - (NRFB)
