Madame Alexander "Blue Party Dress" - Dressed doll - Created for the 2011 MADC Convention Welcome Breakfast - LE32/300
"Blue Party Dress" features a blue-eyed, bent-knee, brunette Wendy. She's wearing a replica of a 1950's Alexander-kins dress and has the nostalgic 'Maggie face' Wendy sculpt with straight hair that was used briefly on dolls during the late '50s/early '60s. Her blue and white summery dress has deep pockets along the hem - one which has been filled with flowers. Tiny white buttons embellish the bodice which is fashioned with a wide, square neckline. Her panties and petticoat have been trimmed with a lovely band of white net edged with lace. White socks, white patent leather shoes and a white straw hat with a blue ribbon hatband complete the nostalgic outfit. She was removed from her box only to be photographed and then carefully repackaged with all original paperwork. Never displayed.
