R. John Wright's "Jack And Jill Mouse Set" "Jack & Jill" set is the sixth piece in R. John Wright's charming series of costumed mice based on the Olde Mother Goose nursery rhymes illustrated by Kate Greenaway. Jack and Jill each measure a diminutive 3 inches tall. Designed in mouse form and constructed of the finest mohair plush with jointing at the neck and shoulders. Jack and Jill feature realistic coloring, resin hands and feet, German glass eyes, inset whiskers and fine leather tails. Built-in metal stands provide effortless display for this charming couple. From the original English nursery rhyme of the same name, Jack and Jill are costumed in true Kate Greenaway fashion. Jill wears an Empire-waist frock made of fine custom-dyed cotton batiste. On her head she will wear a tiny bonnet sewn of miniature natural straw braid trimmed with pink silk ribbon. Jack is outfitted in a custom-dyed cotton smock of the period with authentic pleating at the front and tiny buttons down the back. Atop his head Jack wears a wool felt hat. Between them, Jack and Jill hold a miniature hand-painted and hand-carved wooden bucket as they start up the hill on their ill-fated venture! This will be the first paired set of mice ever offered by R. John Wright. Jack and Jill join previous sold out issues in the Mother Goose Mice Series.
