Madame Alexander Ladies of History Collection - "Zelda" - Dressed doll - LE250

“Zelda” Sayre Fitzgerald (1900–1948) was an American novelist and wife of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. She was an icon of the 1920s – dubbed by her husband as “the first American Flapper”. The NYC newspapers saw the couple as embodiments of the Jazz Age and the Roaring Twenties: young, seemingly wealthy, beautiful and the epitome of fashion. “Zelda” features a 10" fully articulated, blue-eyed Cissette with a side-parted short blonde bob. She wearing a 20’s inspired, purple satin, drop-waist dress. The dress is overlaid with lavish silver and lavender mesh and features an over-sized purple chiffon bow at the waist. She's stylishly accessorized with pearl stud earrings and matching bracelet, white straw cloche hat and finger-less, silver lace gloves. Strappy silver pumps and nude pantyhose complete Zelda’s fashionable 20’s outfit. NRFB
